INDIAN RIVER, Fla. (Interstat) — The Eastern Florida State men’s basketball team will open its 2025-26 season on the road against Indian River State on Friday, Oct. 31.

The matchup at River Classics will be the season opener for both junior college programs. The Titans and Pioneers each enter the new campaign with 0-0 records.

Both teams look to start fresh after their 2023-24 seasons ended in narrow defeats. Eastern Florida State fell 71-62 to Northwest Florida State in its finale on March 15, 2024. Indian River State concluded its previous season two days earlier, dropping an 83-80 contest to Chipola.

The game will serve as the first of 10 non-conference contests for the Titans before they begin Central Conference play in January. Eastern Florida State’s early schedule includes a Nov. 6 home opener against McCook and a Dec. 6 rematch at Northwest Florida State.

Indian River State faces a challenging start to its season, with the Pioneers scheduled to visit Gulf Coast State on Nov. 7 and Chipola on Nov. 8 following the Halloween matchup.
