Southeastern vs Wabash Valley

MOBERLY, Mo. (Interstat) — The Southeastern Blackhawks and Wabash Valley Warriors will tip off their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball seasons against each other Friday in the Moberly Classic.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking for a fresh start after their 2023-24 campaigns ended in narrow road losses. Southeastern fell 76-68 at Indian Hills last March, while Wabash Valley concluded its season with a 73-67 defeat at Vincennes.

The Blackhawks will begin a challenging early-season schedule against the Warriors. Following the opener, Southeastern will play nine of its next ten games against regional opponents, beginning with a home contest against Southeast on Saturday.

Wabash Valley also faces a quick turnaround, traveling to face Moberly Area on Saturday. The Warriors’ non-conference slate is highlighted by a late-November matchup against Walters State.

Friday’s game at the Moberly Classic will provide the first look at two programs aiming to build momentum from the opening whistle of the new season.
