HANNIBAL, Mo. (Interstat) — Hannibal-LaGrange defeated William Woods 67-56 on Oct. 23 in a men’s NAIA basketball game at Porter Gym. The Trojans improved to 1-0, while the Owls fell to 0-1. Hannibal-LaGrange scored 35 first-quarter points and 32 over the rest of the game. William Woods scored 31 in the first quarter and 25 over the remaining three quarters. Hannibal-LaGrange outscored William Woods 32-25 after the first quarter. The Owls scored 56 points on 58 possessions, an offensive rating of 84.9. William Woods totaled 40 rebounds, including nine offensive, and had seven assists, two blocks, five turnovers and 11 fouls.
