NEW ORLEANS (Interstat) — Christian Pichon Jr. scored 14 points and dished six assists to lead Dillard to an 81-78 men’s basketball victory over Southern University at New Orleans on Saturday.

The Bleu Devils used a 45-point second quarter to overcome a two-point halftime deficit. Dorian Booker led the Knights with 23 points in the loss.

Dillard shot 10 for 24 from 3-point range and made 17 of 21 free throws to secure the win. Southern-New Orleans struggled from deep, hitting just 3 of 14, and went 19 for 32 from the foul line.

The Bleu Devils improved to 12-9. The Knights fell to 12-13.
