Georgetown (Ky.) vs Cumberland (Tenn.)
LEBANON, Tenn. (Interstat) — A surging Georgetown team looks to continue its push up the NAIA standings when it visits a struggling Cumberland squad on Saturday at Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.
The Georgetown Tigers (16-7) have won three of their last four, most recently a 73-61 victory over Cumberlands (Ky.) on Feb. 7. They will face a Cumberland Phoenix (8-13) team mired in a two-game skid, including a 66-51 home loss to Cumberlands on Thursday.
The matchup features a stark contrast in trajectories. Georgetown has averaged 89 points in its last three wins, while Cumberland has failed to reach 80 points in six consecutive games.
A key storyline will be the play of Georgetown forward Isaiah Mason, who is coming off a dominant 21-point, 13-rebound performance in the win over Cumberlands. Over his last seven games, Mason has averaged 17.1 points and 9.1 rebounds, recording four double-doubles. He posted 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the teams’ first meeting this season.
Cumberland will counter with forward Michael Nwoye, who had 16 points and five rebounds in the Jan. 17 loss at Georgetown. Nwoye is capable of a major impact, as shown by his 23-point, 10-rebound, five-block effort in a win over Bethel on Feb. 5, but his production has been inconsistent.
In the previous head-to-head meeting on Jan. 17, Georgetown dominated in a 104-81 home victory. The Tigers shot 54% from the field and forced 18 turnovers in that contest.
For Cumberland to reverse that result, it must improve defensively after allowing opponents to score 85 and 86 points in its last two home games. Georgetown, meanwhile, will aim to maintain its efficient offense and exploit its significant height advantage inside with Mason.
The game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. EST tip-off on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. Georgetown visits Lindsey Wilson on Feb. 19, while Cumberland hosts Freed-Hardeman the same night.
