Culver-Stockton (MO) vs Central Methodist
FAYETTE, Mo. (Interstat) — The Central Methodist Eagles, riding a surge in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, will host the struggling Culver-Stockton Wildcats in an NAIA men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday night at Puckett Field House.
The Eagles (15-9) enter on a three-game winning streak, including a 77-65 victory over Mount Mercy on Saturday. They have won five of their last seven contests. Central Methodist’s offense is powered by guard Isaiah Reams, who is coming off a 22-point, 4-assist performance. Over his last seven games, Reams has averaged 14.3 points and 5.3 assists, including a 15-point, 12-assist outing in a rout of William Woods.
They will face a Wildcats squad (5-19) mired in a four-game skid. Culver-Stockton’s most recent outing was a 72-60 home loss to MidAmerica Nazarene on Feb. 7. The lone bright spot has been the play of guard Travis Green III, who erupted for 23 points in that defeat. Green has scored 16 or more points in four of his last eight games, providing the primary offensive threat for a team seeking consistency.
History heavily favors the home side. When these teams met on Nov. 25, 2025, Central Methodist dominated in a 89-64 road win. The Eagles’ balanced attack and superior record position them as clear favorites in the rematch.
For Central Methodist, a win would solidify their standing in the conference ahead of a key Saturday home game against Grand View. For Culver-Stockton, an upset on the road would provide a crucial momentum shift as they navigate the final weeks of a difficult season.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CST Wednesday at Puckett Field House.
