Paul Quinn vs Jarvis Christian

HOLLY LAKE RANCH, Texas (Interstat) — Two NAIA men’s basketball teams seeking to halt slides will meet Monday when the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs host the Paul Quinn Tigers at Rand Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs (7-12) have lost six consecutive games, most recently a 73-66 road defeat at LSU Alexandria on Saturday. The Tigers (4-10) have dropped three straight, including a narrow 72-70 loss at Rust last Monday.

Jarvis Christian won the season’s first head-to-head meeting, 63-55, at Paul Quinn on Nov. 1.

A key matchup will feature two versatile forwards. Paul Quinn’s Isaiah McCallum is coming off a strong 22-point, 8-rebound performance in the loss to Rust, his fourth double-figure scoring game in his last five outings. He recorded a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds in a Jan. 15 overtime win against Dillard.

For Jarvis Christian, Iversyn Smith logged 40 minutes and contributed 14 points and five rebounds in the loss to LSU-Alexandria. His season has been marked by fluctuating minutes, but he pulled down 10 rebounds in a game at Louisiana Christian on Feb. 5.

Both teams have struggled to close out tight games. Paul Quinn has played in four overtime contests this season, winning two. Jarvis Christian’s losing streak includes four losses by 10 points or fewer.

The Tigers will look to improve their road record, while the Bulldogs aim to defend their home court and find a winning formula before hosting Southwest on Saturday.

Tip-off is set for Monday, Feb. 9, 2026.
