Hannibal-LaGrange (MO) vs UHSP
ST. LOUIS (Interstat) — A surging Hannibal-LaGrange team looks to continue its climb toward .500 when it visits struggling UHSP in a men’s NAIA basketball matchup on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.
The Trojans (6-6) have won two straight, including a 109-90 offensive showcase against Mission (Mo.) last Saturday. They will face a UHSP squad (1-14) mired in a four-game losing streak and seeking its first win since Dec. 11.
Hannibal-LaGrange is powered by forward Davaughn Hueitt, who is coming off a dominant 34-point, 12-rebound performance in the win over Mission. Over his last three games, Hueitt has averaged 24 points and 7.7 rebounds, providing consistent interior scoring and defense. He is complemented by guards Kell Estep and Josh Talton, who combined for 43 points in the latest victory.
UHSP will counter with guard Bryant Odunayo, who erupted for 33 points in a high-scoring 117-101 loss at Williams Baptist on Jan. 10. Odunayo’s scoring punch will be essential for an Eutectics team that has struggled defensively, allowing an average of 101.6 points during its current four-game skid.
The game represents a stark contrast in momentum. Hannibal-LaGrange’s recent wins include a narrow 58-57 victory over Central Baptist, showing an ability to grind out close games. UHSP, meanwhile, has suffered several lopsided defeats, including a 132-80 loss at Fisk on Jan. 3.
This is the first of two scheduled meetings between the programs this season. They are slated to meet again at Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday, Feb. 12.
Tip-off is set for Thursday night in St. Louis.
