TYLER, Texas (Interstat) — The Wiley Wildcats will look to build on a recent victory over the same opponent when they visit the Texas College Steers in an NAIA men’s basketball game Saturday.

The Wildcats (1-2) earned an 88-62 win over the Steers (0-1) just two weeks ago on Oct. 25 in their season opener. Wiley’s offense, however, has struggled since, suffering consecutive losses to Louisiana Christian and LSU Shreveport. In Friday’s 94-50 loss to LSU Shreveport, Shamir Mosley led Wiley with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Texas College has not played since its opening loss to Wiley, where Jason Roseberry Jr. recorded a double-double for the Wildcats with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Steers will be seeking their first win of the season and a measure of revenge on their home court.

The game will tip off at the Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium. Following this contest, Wiley will host Arkansas Baptist on Monday, while Texas College’s next game is at Arkansas Baptist on Nov. 15.
