TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — The Tulsa Golden Hurricane defeated the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels 77-66 in a men’s NCAA basketball game Sunday at Donald Reynolds Center.

Tulsa led 36-24 at halftime and maintained control despite a stronger second-half offensive effort from UNLV. The Runnin’ Rebels outscored Tulsa 42-41 after intermission but could not overcome the early deficit.

UNLV generated 20 points off turnovers and 40 points in the paint, but it was not enough against the Golden Hurricane, who improved to 28-7. UNLV fell to 18-17. The announced attendance was 2,432.
