Michigan’s Dominant Paint Performance Ends Howard’s Season in NCAA Playoff
BUFFALO, N.Y. (Interstat) — Michigan overpowered Howard 101-80 in a men’s NCAA Division I playoff game Thursday at KeyBank Center. The Wolverines, now 32-3, used a decisive 52-18 advantage in points in the paint to control the game.
Morez Johnson led Michigan with 21 points. Howard’s Cam Gillus and Bryce Harris each scored 21 points for the Bison, who finish their season 24-11. Michigan led 50-46 at halftime and pulled away in the second half, shooting efficiently from the floor while limiting Howard’s offensive opportunities. The Wolverines’ size and interior scoring proved insurmountable for Howard.
