The Volunteers built a commanding 51-32 halftime lead and never looked back, ending the Redhawks’ season before a crowd of 19,686. Tennessee’s defense stifled Miami (Ohio), which managed only 24 points after halftime. The Volunteers improved to 23-10, while the Redhawks, who entered with a 32-2 record, were eliminated. The game’s total points fell well under the pregame over/under line of 149.
