Davidson at Oklahoma State

Preview: Davidson Wildcats at Oklahoma State Cowboys

STILLWATER, Okla. (Interstat) — Two teams on the postseason bubble will meet Tuesday when the Davidson Wildcats visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a nonconference men’s basketball matchup.

Davidson (20-13) enters after a 58-70 loss at Saint Joseph’s on Friday. The Wildcats had won three of their previous four games prior to that defeat. Oklahoma State (19-14) looks to rebound from a high-scoring 88-95 road loss at TCU last Wednesday.

The game features a compelling backcourt matchup between two dynamic scorers. Davidson’s Josh Scovens has been a consistent offensive force, averaging 13.1 points over his last seven games. He scored 15 points in the loss to Saint Joseph’s and tallied 13 points and five assists in an overtime win over Loyola Chicago on March 12.

He will be countered by Oklahoma State’s Anthony Roy, who is coming off a spectacular stretch. Roy averaged 24.3 points over a three-game span from March 3-11, including a 27-point outing in an overtime win at UCF and a 25-point performance in the loss at TCU. His scoring punch is vital for the Cowboys’ offense.

Davidson’s recent results have been a mix of tight contests, with four of their last seven games decided by four points or fewer. Key contributors include Roberts Blums, who had 13 points against Saint Joseph’s, and Nick Coval.

Oklahoma State has shown a propensity for high-scoring, volatile games. The Cowboys have scored 91 points or more in three of their last six outings, but have also allowed 91 or more in three losses during that same period. Alongside Roy, Christian Coleman (15 points vs. TCU) and Kanye Clary (14 points, five assists vs. TCU) provide additional firepower.

Both teams will be seeking a late-season quality win to bolster their postseason resumes. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. EDT tipoff on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
