NEW YORK (Interstat) — Saint John’s defeated Seton Hall 78-68 in a Big East Conference men’s basketball game Friday night at Madison Square Garden.

The Red Storm led 38-30 at halftime and maintained their advantage throughout the second half before a crowd of 19,812. The victory improved Saint John’s season record to 27-6, while Seton Hall fell to 21-12. It was the Red Storm’s third win this season over the Pirates, having also won the two previous regular-season meetings. The total score went over the projected over/under line.
