NEW YORK (Interstat) — Seton Hall defeated Creighton 72-61 in a Big East Conference men’s basketball game Thursday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.

The Pirates led 33-26 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half before a crowd of 19,812. Josh Dix led all scorers with 22 points for the Bluejays. Seton Hall’s Adam Clark posted 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Jacob Dar added 16 points off the bench.

The victory improved Seton Hall to 21-11 overall. Creighton fell to 15-17. The teams split their regular-season series, with each winning on its home court.
