BOISE, Idaho (Interstat) — The Idaho Vandals built a large first-half lead and defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles 81-68 in a Big Sky Conference men’s basketball tournament game Tuesday at CenturyLink Arena.

Idaho led 36-28 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half to advance. The Vandals improved to 20-14 this season, while the Eagles finished their year at 14-19. Idaho had also won the previous two meetings between the teams during the regular season. The Vandals were a slight pregame favorite and the total score fell under the projected over/under line.
