WASHINGTON (Interstat) — Monmouth used a strong second half to defeat Drexel 65-57 in a Colonial Athletic Association men’s basketball game Sunday at CareFirst Arena.

The Hawks, who trailed 33-32 at halftime, outscored the Dragons 33-24 after intermission to secure the victory before a crowd of 1,666. The win improved Monmouth’s overall record to 18-14, while Drexel fell to 17-16. The teams split their regular-season series, with each winning on its home court. Monmouth was a 3-point pregame favorite, and the total fell well under the projected over/under line.
