COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (Interstat) — Alabama A&M rallied from a halftime deficit and dominated overtime to defeat Texas Southern 85-74 in a SWAC men’s basketball tournament game Thursday at Gateway Center Arena.

The Bulldogs, who trailed 31-27 at halftime, forced the extra period by outscoring the Tigers 39-35 in the second half. Alabama A&M then seized control in overtime, holding Texas Southern to just eight points while scoring 19. The victory avenged a regular-season loss to the Tigers in January.

Jaylen Wysinger led Texas Southern with 16 points. Alex Anderson added eight points and 11 rebounds. Attendance was 1,028. Alabama A&M improved to 18-14. Texas Southern’s season ends at 12-18.
