Fairleigh Dickinson at Mercyhurst
Preview: Fairleigh Dickinson at Mercyhurst
ERIE, Pa. (Interstat) — The Mercyhurst Lakers will look to even the season series and climb back to .500 when they host the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Mercyhurst (15-16) enters the contest following a 75-72 overtime road victory at Stonehill on Saturday, led by 24 points from guard Bernie Blunt. The Lakers have split their last six games.
Fairleigh Dickinson (11-20) seeks to halt a three-game skid after falling 74-60 at Long Island on Saturday. The Knights have lost eight of their last ten.
The matchup features two of the conference’s top scorers in a head-to-head rematch from last month. Fairleigh Dickinson’s Taeshaud Jackson averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Knights’ 55-52 home win over Mercyhurst on Feb. 7. Jackson is coming off a 19-point performance against Long Island.
For the Lakers, Bernie Blunt poured in 26 points in the February loss at Fairleigh Dickinson. He has been on a scoring tear, averaging 24.2 points over his last five games, including a 31-point outing against Saint Francis (PA) on Feb. 14.
The Knights have won the last two meetings between the programs, including a 74-67 victory here on Jan. 2, 2026. Mercyhurst will aim to leverage home court advantage at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center to reverse that trend.
A win would secure a winning regular season for Mercyhurst. For Fairleigh Dickinson, it represents a final opportunity to build momentum before the conference tournament.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
