Towson vs. UC San Diego

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Interstat) — An undefeated UC San Diego squad will face a surging Towson team on Wednesday in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball matchup at the ESPN Events Invitational.

The Tritons (6-0) are off to their best start in the program’s Division I era, coming off an 87-77 road victory over Bradley on Tuesday. Leo Beath led the way with 26 points and five rebounds, while Aidan Burke added 16 points. UC San Diego’s early-season resume also includes a 91-76 win over Temple on Monday.

The Towson Tigers (5-2) arrive with momentum after a hard-fought 72-69 win at Liberty on Tuesday. Tyler Tejada was a force for the Tigers, scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the victory. Towson has won four of its last five games, with the only loss in that stretch a six-point road defeat at James Madison.

Wednesday’s contest is a neutral-site game in the tournament bracket. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The winner will advance in the winner’s side of the invitational, while the loser will move to the consolation bracket.

The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
