Clemson vs. Georgia
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — An undefeated Georgia squad looks to continue its best start in years when it faces a surging Clemson team in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup Sunday at TD Arena.
The Bulldogs (6-0) are off to their strongest opening since the 2017-18 season, coming off a narrow 78-77 road victory over Xavier on Friday. Blue Cain led the way with 16 points in that win.
Clemson (5-1) arrives with momentum of its own, having edged West Virginia 70-67 in its last outing. The Tigers have relied on a balanced attack, with RJ Godfrey (14 points), Dillon Hunter (13 points) and Jestin Porter (14 points) all contributing significantly in the win.
Georgia’s offense has been explosive, averaging 95.3 points per game and winning each contest by at least 15 points prior to the close call at Xavier. Clemson’s lone blemish was a 79-74 road loss to Georgetown on Nov. 15. Since then, the Tigers have won two straight.
The neutral-site game in Charleston offers both teams a key early-season test before conference play begins next month.
