KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Interstat) — The New Mexico Lobos held off the Mississippi State Bulldogs 80-78 in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Friday night at T-Mobile Center. The Lobos, who never trailed, built a narrow 40-39 halftime lead and matched the Bulldogs point-for-point in the second half to secure the victory. Josh Hubbard led all scorers with 29 points for Mississippi State, while Tomislav Buljan paced New Mexico with 19 points. The Lobos improved to 4-2, while the Bulldogs fell to 2-3.
