Coastal Carolina at Western Illinois
MACOMB, Ill. (Interstat) — The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (2-2) look to get back to .500 when they visit the struggling Western Illinois Leathernecks (1-4) in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
Coastal Carolina is coming off a 74-67 road loss to Jacksonville State last Friday. Joshua Beadle led the Chanticleers with 20 points in the defeat. The team’s two victories this season include a 72-66 win over Winthrop and a dominant 121-44 victory against Virginia-Lynchburg.
Western Illinois snapped a four-game losing streak with a 74-63 home win over Division III opponent Coe on Monday. Francis Okwuosah nearly posted a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds in that contest. Prior to the win, the Leathernecks had suffered double-digit road losses to California Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Iowa and Radford.
The game represents an opportunity for both teams to build momentum. For Coastal Carolina, it is the start of a challenging two-game road trip in Illinois, as they face Illinois State the following day. Western Illinois will look to secure a second consecutive home victory before hosting North Dakota on Sunday.
Tipoff is set for Friday at Western Hall.
