Central Arkansas at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — A surging Central Arkansas team looks to extend its winning streak when it visits Lipscomb in a key ASUN Conference men’s basketball matchup Saturday at Allen Arena.

The Bears (13-10) have won five straight games, most recently an 81-60 rout of North Alabama on Wednesday. Their offense has been potent during the streak, averaging 91.2 points per game. Guard Luke Moore has been central to that success, averaging 14.7 points and 5.1 assists over the last seven contests. He is coming off a 15-point, 7-assist performance against North Alabama.

The Bisons (15-9), however, aim to defend their home court and rebound from a 76-87 road loss at Austin Peay that snapped a three-game win streak. They are led by guard Mateo Esmeraldo, who is averaging 12.0 points and 6.6 assists per game this season. He posted a 24-point, 9-assist stat line in a win at North Florida on Jan. 31.

This contest features two of the league’s top offensive units. Lipscomb ranks second in the ASUN in scoring offense at 80.5 points per game, while Central Arkansas has shot up the rankings during its hot streak. The Bears’ recent run includes a 100-90 victory at Queens (N.C.) and a 98-69 win over North Florida.

Defensive adjustments will be critical. Central Arkansas held its last five opponents to an average of 71.2 points, a significant improvement. Lipscomb, which allows 75.5 points per game, will need to contain Moore’s playmaking and the Bears’ balanced attack, which saw Javion Guy-King add 12 points off the bench in the midweek win.

The series has been tightly contested, adding another layer to a game with implications for the ASUN standings as the regular season enters its final month. Lipscomb holds a 10-5 home record this season, while Central Arkansas is 4-6 on the road.

Tip-off is set for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, in Nashville.
