KNOXVILLE, N.Y. (Interstat) — George Mason overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Saint Bonaventure 77-73 in an Atlantic 10 men’s basketball game Saturday at the Reilly Center.

The Bonnies led 39-31 at halftime, but the Patriots surged with 46 second-half points. Frank Mitchell led all scorers with 25 points for Saint Bonaventure. Kory Mincy scored 22 points for George Mason, while Jahari Long added 13 points and nine assists.

George Mason improved to 20-2 overall. Saint Bonaventure fell to 13-9. The Patriots won despite shooting 5 of 21 from 3-point range and committing 16 turnovers. The Bonnies struggled at the free-throw line, making 14 of 25 attempts. Attendance was 4,338.
