Wyoming Dominates UNLV in Mountain West Conference Matchup

BOSLER, Wyo. (Interstat) — Leland Walker scored 28 points to lead Wyoming to a decisive 98-66 victory over UNLV in a Mountain West Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Arena-Auditorium.

The Cowboys (11-4, 1-1) seized control early, building a 48-26 halftime lead and never relenting before a crowd of 2,942. Walker, a guard from Indianapolis, was efficient in 24 minutes, keying a dominant offensive performance.

Kimani Hamilton led the Runnin’ Rebels (7-7, 1-1) with 19 points, and Tyrin Jones added 16 points and four blocks. UNLV could not overcome Wyoming’s sustained offensive pressure, which saw five Cowboys score in double figures, including Khaden Bennett with 13 and Damarion Dennis with 12.

The win marked a strong rebound for Wyoming following a conference road loss last weekend.
