West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Clemson Tigers
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — An undefeated West Virginia men’s basketball team will face its toughest test of the young season Friday when the Mountaineers take on Clemson at TD Arena.
The Mountaineers (5-0) are off to a strong start, winning each of their games by double digits. They are coming off an 81-59 victory over Lafayette on Monday, powered by a 33-minute, 24-point performance from guard Honor Huff. Teammate DJ Thomas added 25 points in the win.
Clemson (4-1) brings a potent offense of its own, averaging 80.6 points per game. The Tigers’ lone blemish is a 79-74 road loss to Georgetown. They bounced back with an 81-61 win over North Alabama on Monday, where RJ Godfrey led the way with 16 points, three assists and two blocks.
The neutral-site game in Charleston serves as a significant non-conference matchup for both teams before they dive into their respective conference schedules in the new year. West Virginia’s defense, which has held opponents to an average of 59.2 points, will be challenged by a balanced Clemson attack.
Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
