Louisville Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Bearcats
CINCINNATI (Interstat) — A battle of unbeatens is set for Friday night when the Louisville Cardinals visit the Cincinnati Bearcats at Fifth Third Arena.
Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with 4-0 records. Louisville has been dominant, winning its games by an average of 35.5 points. The Cardinals are coming off a 106-81 rout of Ohio on Saturday, powered by 22 points from Ryan Conwell and 19 points and seven assists from Mikel Brown.
Cincinnati has also started strong, relying on a stout defense that has held opponents to an average of 65.5 points. In their 72-55 victory over Mount Saint Mary’s on Sunday, the Bearcats’ frontcourt duo of Baba Miller and Moustapha Thiam each recorded a double-double and combined for eight blocks.
The game features two of the nation’s most efficient offenses early in the season. Louisville’s high-powered attack will be tested by a Cincinnati defense that has yet to allow more than 74 points in a game.
This marks the first meeting between the former conference rivals since the 2021-22 season. The Bearcats hold a 79-63 all-time series advantage.
