INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Interstat) — A pair of early-season unbeatens will clash Friday when Arizona faces UCLA in a high-profile nonconference showdown at the 2025-26 MBB West Coast Showdown.

The Wildcats (3-0) and Bruins (3-0) have both opened the season with three decisive victories, setting the stage for a marquee matchup in Southern California. Arizona arrives after an 84-49 rout of Northern Arizona on Tuesday, powered by 18 points from Dwayne Aristode. The Wildcats also boast a significant 93-87 road win at Florida.

UCLA enters following an 83-62 victory over West Georgia on Monday, led by 21 points from Tyler Bilodeau and a near double-double from Trent Perry, who had 17 points and nine assists. The Bruins’ early schedule, however, has been less demanding, with closer home wins over Eastern Washington and Pepperdine.

This contest serves as a major test for both teams before each embarks on a challenging stretch. Arizona travels to face Connecticut next Wednesday, while UCLA hosts Sacramento State on Tuesday.
