Wake Forest vs. Michigan

DETROIT (Interstat) — The unbeaten Wake Forest Demon Deacons face their first major test of the young season Tuesday against the Michigan Wolverines at Little Caesars Arena.

Wake Forest (2-0) is coming off an 81-65 home victory over Morehead State on Friday, powered by a 29-point performance from guard Juke Harris. The Demon Deacons also boast a balanced attack with Sebastian Akins and Tre’Von Spillers, who combined for 31 points in the win.

Michigan (1-0) opened its season with a dominant 121-78 rout of Oakland on Nov. 3. The Wolverines’ offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Morez Johnson Jr.’s 24 points and a double-double from Aday Mara, who had 12 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Trey McKenney added 21 points.

Despite Wake Forest’s perfect start, oddsmakers have installed Michigan as a heavy 12.5-point favorite. The over/under for the non-conference matchup is set at 160.5 points.

The game in Detroit serves as a neutral-site showcase for Michigan before both teams embark on challenging stretches. Wake Forest will face Massachusetts-Lowell next, while Michigan travels to face TCU on Friday.
