RENO, Nev. (Interstat) — The Nevada Wolf Pack used a dominant second half to pull away from the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels for an 89-76 victory in a Mountain West Conference men’s basketball game Friday night at Lawlor Events Center.

Nevada led 33-28 at halftime before exploding for 56 points after the break. UNLV could not keep pace despite improving its own second-half output to 48 points. The win improved Nevada’s record to 16-6, while UNLV fell to 10-11. A crowd of 11,997 watched the game, which exceeded the projected point total. The teams will meet again in Las Vegas on Feb. 28.
