Towson at North Carolina A&T

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — A surging Towson looks to continue its climb in the Colonial Athletic Association standings when it visits a North Carolina A&T team coming off a dramatic win Saturday at Corbett Sports Center.

The Tigers (12-9) have won four straight, including a 72-59 road victory at Elon on Thursday. Guard Dylan Williamson, the team’s engine, scored 24 points in that win and is averaging 16.4 points over his last five games. Towson’s defense has been key during the streak, holding three of its last four opponents under 60 points.

The Aggies (8-10) snapped a six-game skid with a thrilling 79-78 home win over Hofstra on Thursday, sealed by Lewis Walker’s 24-point performance. Walker has been a bright spot, erupting for 33 points in a loss to William & Mary on Jan. 15. He will need another high-output game against Towson’s stout defense.

This matchup presents a contrast. Towson brings momentum and a defense allowing just 61.3 points per game during its win streak. North Carolina A&T, while struggling for consistency, has shown offensive firepower, averaging 78.3 points in its last three outings but conceding 85.3 over that span.

The Tigers won both meetings last season. Securing a road win is critical for their conference positioning, while the Aggies aim to build on their momentum and protect their home court.

Tip-off is set for Saturday afternoon.
