MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Villanova Wildcats defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 76-66 in overtime Friday night at Fiserv Forum.

Villanova led 35-22 at halftime, but Wisconsin mounted a fierce second-half comeback, outscoring the Wildcats 34-21 to force overtime tied at 56. Villanova then dominated the extra period, scoring 20 points to Wisconsin’s 10.

Nolan Winter led all scorers with 23 points for Wisconsin. Tyler Perkins and Matthew Hodge scored 19 and 15 points, respectively, for Villanova. The Wildcats improved to 9-2, while the Badgers fell to 7-4 before a crowd of 7,328.
