Arkansas at Florida
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — A critical late-season Southeastern Conference showdown is set for Saturday when the Arkansas Razorbacks visit the Florida Gators at the O’Connell Center.
Both teams enter with momentum and nearly identical sterling records. Arkansas (21-7) has won five of its last six, including a 99-84 victory over Texas A&M on Wednesday. Florida (22-6) is riding a seven-game winning streak, most recently an 84-71 road win at Texas.
The matchup features two of the league’s hottest players. Arkansas guard Billy Richmond has been a scoring force, averaging over 20 points per game in his last four contests. He dropped 23 points in the win over Texas A&M. Florida will counter with versatile forward Alex Condon, who is coming off a 23-point, four-block performance against Texas. Condon has been a stat-sheet filler during the Gators’ streak, recording a triple-double threat of 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a win over Alabama earlier this month.
The Razorbacks’ offense is firing, averaging 95.2 points over their last five wins. Alongside Richmond, guards Darius Acuff Jr. and Malique Ewin provide additional scoring punch. Florida’s defense, anchored by Condon’s rim protection, has held opponents to 70.1 points per game during its seven-game run. The Gators’ offense is balanced, with key contributions from guards Boogie Fland and Xaivian Lee.
This game carries significant weight for SEC tournament seeding and NCAA Tournament resumes. Arkansas will look to avenge a 90-76 loss at Georgia in January, its only recent road stumble. Florida aims to protect its home court, where it is 13-2 this season.
The outcome may hinge on whether Arkansas’ high-powered offense can penetrate a Florida defense that has stifled its recent competition. Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Gainesville.
