GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Florida Gators defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks 76-62 in a Southeastern Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday at O’Connell Center.

Florida led 39-29 at halftime and maintained a double-digit advantage throughout the second half before a crowd of 10,622. Meechie Johnson led all scorers with 22 points for South Carolina. Alex Condon paced Florida with 20 points and four assists, while Rueben Chinyelu added 15 points.

The victory improved Florida’s record to 20-6 overall. South Carolina fell to 11-15.
