MOREHEAD, Ky. (Interstat) — Jon Carroll scored 22 points to lead Morehead State to a 73-66 victory over Tennessee Tech in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Thursday night at E.T. Johnson Arena.

The Eagles used a 34-point first half to build a lead and held off a second-half push from the Golden Eagles. Morehead State shot 49.1% from the floor and made 15 of 18 free throws to secure the win. Malik Ferguson led Tennessee Tech with 15 points off the bench.

The win improves Morehead State to 14-12 overall, while Tennessee Tech falls to 10-16. An announced crowd of 2,234 watched the Ohio Valley Conference contest.
