MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Interstat) — Rowan Brumbaugh scored 27 points to lead Tulane to a 78-76 victory over Memphis in an American Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Sunday at FedExForum.

The Green Wave led by eight at halftime and held off a furious second-half rally by the Tigers. Memphis outscored Tulane 45-39 after intermission but fell short. Asher Woods added 19 points for Tulane. Aaron Bradshaw led Memphis with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The win improves Tulane to 13-9 overall. Memphis drops to 10-11. Announced attendance was 9,320.
