Fairleigh Dickinson at Wagner
Preview: Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at Wagner Seahawks
NEW YORK (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum in the Northeast Conference will meet Saturday when the Wagner Seahawks host the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at Spiro Sports Center.
The matchup is a quick rematch from Jan. 19, when the visiting Knights (7-15) edged the Seahawks 68-61. Fairleigh Dickinson’s Taeshaud Jackson nearly posted a triple-double in that victory, finishing with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
Jackson enters this game as Fairleigh Dickinson’s player to watch. The guard is coming off a 14-point, 3-assist performance in a narrow 58-57 road loss to Stonehill on Thursday. His recent outings include a 17-point, 14-rebound effort in a win over Chicago State on Jan. 8.
Wagner (6-13) looks to halt a five-game skid, most recently a 62-55 home loss to Central Connecticut on Thursday. Guard Travis Gray led the Seahawks with 17 points in that contest and will be a key figure in the rematch. Gray scored 11 points in Wagner’s prior loss to Le Moyne on Jan. 23.
Both teams have struggled for consistency this season. The Knights have lost two straight since their win over Wagner, while the Seahawks’ last victory came on Jan. 2 against Chicago State.
The game will tip off at 4 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. It marks the start of the second half of the NEC schedule for both squads. Fairleigh Dickinson will look to complete a regular-season sweep, while Wagner aims to defend its home court and split the series.
Following this contest, Fairleigh Dickinson returns home to host Stonehill on Feb. 5. Wagner remains at home to face Le Moyne on the same date.
