The Beavers led 40-36 at halftime and maintained a narrow advantage throughout the second half. Myron Amey led all scorers with 24 points for the Lions. Josiah Lake paced Oregon State with 13 points.

Loyola Marymount had a chance to tie in the final seconds but could not get a shot off. Both teams are now 11-12 this season. The Lions, despite a more efficient offensive rating and forcing 16 turnovers, fell short as six-point pregame favorites.
