Maine at Merrimack
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (Interstat) — The Merrimack Warriors will look to build on their first win of the season when they host the winless Maine Black Bears in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday.
The Warriors (1-3) are coming off a 91-79 road victory against Boston University on Saturday. Ernest Shelton led the way with a career-high 33 points, while Kevair Kennedy nearly recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Maine (0-4) is seeking its first win after a 70-64 home loss to Quinnipiac on Sunday. Keelan Steele (14 points) and TJ Biel (17 points) were the top scorers for the Black Bears, who have lost all four of their games by double digits.
This game at the Volpe Athletic Center pits two teams with struggling records early in the 2025-26 season. Merrimack’s lone win came in its last outing, while Maine has faced a challenging schedule with all four losses coming on the road.
Following this contest, Merrimack travels to face Florida on Friday. Maine returns home to host Brown on Sunday.
