Morehead State at Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. (Interstat) — The undefeated Georgia Bulldogs look to continue their dominant start to the season when they host the Morehead State Eagles in a non-conference men’s basketball game Sunday at Stegeman Coliseum.
Georgia (2-0) has opened its season with a pair of lopsided victories, most recently a 94-29 rout of Maryland-Eastern Shore on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have showcased a balanced attack, with Kanon Catchings (14 points, 9 rebounds), Blue Cain (16 points, 7 rebounds) and Jake Wilkins (16 points, 6 rebounds) all posting strong numbers in the win. They also defeated Bellarmine 104-59 in their opener.
Morehead State (1-0) enters after a tighter 89-84 home victory over Midway on Monday. Jon Carroll led the Eagles with 20 points, while Josiah LeGree added 12 points and eight assists. Anouar Mellouk contributed 13 points and four rebounds.
The game represents a step up in competition for both teams. It is the first of a challenging road stretch for Morehead State, which travels to face Clemson on Tuesday. Georgia will prepare for its in-state rivalry game against Georgia Tech next Friday.
Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.
