ALBANY, N.Y. (Interstat) — Ace Flagg scored 22 points to lead Maine to a 70-59 victory over Albany in an America East Conference men’s basketball game Thursday night at SEFCU Arena.

The Black Bears led 37-31 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half before an announced crowd of 1,622. Flagg added three assists and a block in 35 minutes. Ryan Mabrey contributed 14 points for Maine, which improved to 8-20.

Isaac Abidde led the Great Danes with 18 points. Amir Lindsey had 12 points and six assists for Albany, which fell to 10-19. Maine swept the season series after a 52-49 home win on Jan. 22. Albany had been a 6.5-point favorite.
