CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — Cade Norris scored 19 points as Samford edged The Citadel 78-75 in a Southern Conference men’s basketball game Thursday night at McAlister Field House. The visiting Bulldogs led by as many as 14 in the second half before a late surge by The Citadel. Jadin Booth added 18 points for Samford, which improved to 16-12. Zion Wilburn also scored 18. Braxton Williams led The Citadel with 22 points and Sola Adebisi added 13. The home Bulldogs fell to 9-19. Samford shot 47 percent in the second half to secure the win after trailing 34-31 at halftime. Attendance was 1,721.
