CHICAGO (Interstat) — Illinois-Chicago held off a second-half rally from Indiana State for a 76-74 victory in a Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at UIC Pavilion.

The Flames led 41-32 at halftime but were outscored 42-35 after the break as the Sycamores closed the gap. Illinois-Chicago secured the win to move to 12-10 overall. Indiana State fell to 9-13.

The total score went under the projected over/under line of 144.5. An announced crowd of 1,440 attended. The teams will meet again March 1 in Terre Haute.
