North Dakota State at Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. (Interstat) — A surging North Dakota State team visits Baxter Arena on Saturday for a Summit League men’s basketball clash with Omaha, aiming to continue its winning ways against a Mavericks squad seeking consistency.
The Bison (13-5, 2-0 Summit) enter on a three-game win streak, most recently routing Missouri-Kansas City 97-73 on Thursday. They are powered by efficient offense, having scored 97 and 99 points in two of their last four outings. Guard Treyson Anderson has been a key catalyst, averaging 16.1 points over his last seven games. He dropped 23 points in just 19 minutes in the win over Kansas City.
Omaha (8-10, 1-1) is coming off a 90-79 home victory over North Dakota, fueled by a career-high 27 points from guard Tony Osburn. The Mavericks have struggled for sustained momentum, however, alternating wins and losses over their past six games. Osburn’s scoring is critical; he averages 16.2 points but his output has fluctuated from 6 to 27 points in recent contests.
The matchup pits North Dakota State’s high-octane attack against an Omaha defense that allows 74.6 points per game. Bison forward Trevian Carson, who had 17 points against Kansas City, provides an inside complement to Anderson’s perimeter play. Omaha will counter with Osburn and forward Paul Djobet, who added 18 points in the last game.
History and schedule pressure add context. This begins a tough stretch for Omaha, which plays five of its next seven on the road. North Dakota State, meanwhile, looks to protect its strong league start before a pivotal homestand next week.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, in Omaha. The teams will meet again in Fargo on Feb. 7.
