NORMAL, Ill. (Interstat) — Illinois-Chicago edged Illinois State 63-59 in overtime Saturday in a Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball game at Redbird Arena. The Flames, who led 28-25 at halftime, were outscored 26-23 in the second half to force the extra period before dominating overtime 12-8. Abdul Momoh led Illinois-Chicago with 15 points. Mason Klabo scored 15 for the Redbirds. Both teams struggled from the field, with Illinois State shooting just 27.4%. Illinois-Chicago improved to 7-10, while Illinois State fell to 12-5. Attendance was 4,859.
