Wake Forest vs. Texas Tech
NASSAU, The Bahamas (Interstat) — Wake Forest and Texas Tech, both carrying 3-1 records, will face off in a neutral-site men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Thursday at Kendal Isaacs National Gymnasium.
The Demon Deacons are coming off a dominant 109-75 victory over Massachusetts-Lowell on Sunday. In that win, Wake Forest showcased a balanced offensive attack with Tre’Von Spillers and Juke Harris each scoring 21 points, while Nate Calmese added 15 points and seven assists. Their only loss came in an 85-84 overtime road defeat to Michigan on Nov. 11.
Texas Tech also enters the contest following a convincing win, having defeated Milwaukee 80-63 last Friday. The Red Raiders’ offense was led by Christian Anderson, who scored 18 points and dished out seven assists. Donovan Atwell added 17 points. Like the Demon Deacons, the Red Raiders’ lone blemish is a narrow road loss to a power-conference opponent, falling 81-77 at Illinois on Nov. 11.
The game in Nassau serves as a notable non-conference test for both programs before they return to their respective home courts. Wake Forest will host Campbell on Nov. 25, while Texas Tech will welcome New Orleans on Nov. 26.
