Idaho at San Diego

SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — The undefeated Idaho Vandals travel to face the San Diego Toreros in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Idaho (2-0) is off to a strong start, coming off a dominant 94-49 home victory over Whitman on Friday. Kolton Mitchell led the way with 17 points, five rebounds and six assists in that win. The Vandals also opened their season with a notable 83-81 road win against Washington State on Nov. 3.

San Diego (1-1) looks to rebound on its home court after a narrow 71-68 loss to Idaho State last Friday. Juanse Gorosito scored 15 points and dished five assists in the defeat. The Toreros opened their season with an 88-59 rout of Occidental on Nov. 4.

The game pits Idaho’s early-season momentum against a San Diego team seeking to defend its home floor and get back to a .500 record. The Vandals will continue their California road trip at UC San Diego on Saturday, while the Toreros’ next game is against UC Riverside on Nov. 21.
