MURRAY, Ky. (Interstat) — Javon Jackson scored 21 points to lead Murray State to a 92-79 victory over Valparaiso in a Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at CFSB Center.

The Racers, improving to 15-3, led 45-36 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half before an announced crowd of 5,112. Fredrick King added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Murray State.

Shon Tupuola grabbed 12 rebounds for the Beacons, who fell to 8-9. Brody Whitaker led Valparaiso with 19 points, while JT Pettigrew scored 15. Murray State swept the regular-season series, having also won at Valparaiso on Dec. 21.
