DEKALB, Ill. (Interstat) — The Toledo Rockets used a strong first half to secure a 75-61 victory over the Northern Illinois Huskies in a Mid-American Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Convocation Center.

Toledo built a 12-point halftime lead and maintained control throughout. Sonny Wilson led the Rockets with 17 points and five assists, while Kyler VanderJagt scored a game-high 18 points. Austin Parks added 13 points for Toledo, which improved to 9-6 overall.

Dylan Ducommun scored 17 points for Northern Illinois, which fell to 5-10. The Huskies shot poorly from the floor and could not overcome their early deficit in front of an announced crowd of 864.
